What are the advantages of Osteo Quinone?
Calcium plays several important roles in human health. Calcium and phosphate participate in bone structure, so calcium intake is very important in skeletal formation and bone growth and development. Vitamin D refers to a group of fat-soluble compounds responsible for enhancing intestinal absorption of calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphate and zinc. Vitamin K₂₋₇ is one type of the vitamin K group that acts as a major mover of calcium in human body. These high quality and multifunctional ingredients work together to help building and maintaining strong bones. OsteoQuinone is an appropriate supplement combination to combat age related bone disorders such as osteoporosis.
Mechanism of action
Calcium can be found easily in foods and dietary supplements but it is not necessarily absorbed in bones without a number of important biochemical steps. In the absent of proper direction, calcium hasn't gone to bones and maintain in circulation resulting to bone loss and osteoporosis, besides excessive calcium in blood tends to deposit in arteries and kidneys. Vitamin K₂ helps to calcium binding to bones and prevents calcium deposition in arteries and soft tissues. Recent clinical studies have shown that calcium supplementation without vitamin K₂ and D not only cannot significantly prevent osteoporosis but also results to calcification in soft tissues specifically in arteries.
Osteocalcin is a specific vitamin K dependent protein synthesized in osteoblasts (bone building cells), provides the glue that holds calcium in bones and giving structure to bones. Vitamin K₂ activates osteocalcin through a process called carboxylation. Without carboxylation of osteocalcin, calcium cannot bind to it and bones would be fragile and easily broken.
